This Week on Proto Blast #27
Hello, everyone :)
Just as you may know from previous week's recap, I found a way to pause the game and start a dialogue. And then, I tried it :)
But, well, it actually is not like what I expected. I concepted that it will stop any activities on the scene and add another activities, or say, a dialogue layer on top of that paused layer. However, what I found is basically pausing the game and temporarily go to a completely different scene, and then we can return to the paused scene afterwards.

Pausing.. and go to another scene

This seems to be the only way to do it in GDevelop, as I didn't find any other options to pause the game in the actions selection. Well, at least it works well :)

Dialogues are coming~ :D

Because of the way it works, I need to create backgrounds for the dialogues. Looks like it has just popped up on the to-do list :)

I also made a change to the game resolution. Previously, I just followed GDevelop's template and made the game sized at 800x600 (4:3). Currently, widescreens are more common, and I also planned to make the game playable on mobile devices, so I changed it to 1024x576 (16:9).

Up to date, eh? :)

I also continued the work on designing the second level. There are still a lot of things to do on that, though.
So, well, I think that's all for now. Stay tuned for the next week's recap :)
